Security Clearance Requirements
Candidates must be able to satisfy requirements to obtain a full security clearance, including five years’ satisfactory references, and criminal records and counter-terrorism checks. Depending on the role, they may also be required to hold a PCV/HGV licence and meet pre-determined medical and physical standards, so they may be invited to attend a medical with our Occupational Health team prior to starting their new role.

Equal Opportunities
Glasgow Airport is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from candidates from all backgrounds. All applications are managed through the same fair and consistent recruitment process and candidates are assessed on their skills, experience, and ability to successfully perform the role.
Any candidate who requires additional support at an interview, or who requires adjustments to be made to the selection process should make this known at their earliest opportunity to allow the recruiting manager to make necessary arrangements.
Glasgow Airport supports employees who require additional support or adjustments, whether through ill-health, medical conditions, or disability.

Work Experience and Internships
We work in partnership with Glasgow City Council and Renfrewshire Council within the Development the Young Workforce programme. This includes offering supporting careers events, interview preparation workshops and work experience placements at the airport. Unfortunately, out with this programme, we are unable to accept any more external work experience or internship placements.
We also receive numerous enquiries about longer-term work experience placements and internships. Regrettably, we generally do not have the resources to be able to support this type of request. Our recruitment team will however, consult with the appropriate teams within the airport and response to every enquiry.
