The thrill of the open road and the joy of giving back converge on Sunday 15th September as the Beatson Bikers invite all motorcycle enthusiasts to join their exciting 90-minute biker run, proudly sponsored by Glasgow Airport.
The charity biker run kicks off at the historic Glasgow Cathedral and winds its way through some of Glasgow’s most iconic streets before concluding at Beatson Cancer Charity.
After the ride, everyone is invited to the Beatson Café to relax with tea, coffee, and a selection of cakes. It’s a chance to unwind, share stories from the road, and celebrate the day’s efforts in support of Beatson Cancer Charity.
Entry for the event is free, however, participants have been asked to donate as much as they can to support the work of Beatson Cancer Charity. Riders will also be given their very own Beatson Bikers Hi-Vis waistcoat.
Mark Beveridge, the Managing Director of Glasgow Airport said: "Glasgow Airport is proud to sponsor The Beatson Bikers charity event, championing the fight against cancer.
"We look forward to supporting this thrilling event and Beatson Cancer Charity in their incredible work."
Beatson Bikers was inspired by Derek Provan, he said: "As a business ambassador for Beatson Cancer Charity, I am always looking for ways in which I can support this fantastic charity and what better way than to bring two of my passions together, supporting Beatson Cancer Charity and riding my motorbike with fellow riders.
"I put the idea to the Beatson team and as always they have risen to the challenges. Like many people this terrible disease has visited my family and when I got the chance to work with and support The Beatson I grasped it with both hands.
"I hope that this ride will be the first of what is to become an annual event and I know that the terrific motor biking community will come out and support this great cause."
