The UK Government’s Secretary of State for Transport, the Rt Hon Mark Harper MP, visited Glasgow Airport last Friday.
Mr Harper met with Andy Cliffe, CEO of Glasgow’s parent group AGS Airports, and the airport’s Operations Director, Ronald Leitch.
The visit was an opportunity to discuss the vital role the connectivity provided by Glasgow Airport and the wider AGS group plays in creating employment while driving trade, tourism and sustainable economic growth.
AGS Airports owns and operates Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton airports, which are critical economic drivers to the regions they serve generating almost £2bn GVA annually and supporting more than 35,000 jobs across the country.
