Plane Spotting Competition

1.1 The competition is organised and administered by Glasgow Airport Limited ("Glasgow Airport"). 

2.1 The competition is open to UK residents only. 
2.2 Entrants must be aged 18 or over. 
2.3 Entrants must be available to attend Glasgow Airport on 8 August 2026 in order to be eligible to win. 

3.1 The competition will open on 15/07/2026 and close on 20/07/2026. 
3.2 Entries submitted outside the competition period will not be considered. 

4.1 Entrants must submit an original photograph featuring an aircraft or aviation-related subjects operating to or from Glasgow Airport in accordance with Glasgow Airport's competition instructions. 
4.2 Entries must be the entrant's own work and must not infringe the rights of any third party. 
4.3 Entries cannot contain any computer generated or Artificial Intelligence images. 
4.4 Entries must include the date and location the photograph is taken. 
4.5 The competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary. 

5.1 Following the closing date, Glasgow Airport will review all eligible entries. 
5.2 Glasgow Airport will select the ten (10) photographs it considers to be the best entries. 
5.3 Glasgow Airport's decision on the shortlisted photographs is final. 

6.1 By entering the competition, entrants grant Glasgow Airport a non-exclusive, royalty-free perpetual licence to use, reproduce, publish and share their submitted photograph for the purposes of administering and promoting the competition. 
6.2 The ten shortlisted photographs will be published on Glasgow Airport's social media channels. 
6.3 Glasgow Airport will credit photographers either by tagging their social media account (where provided) or by publishing their first name and local council area (for example, "@abc123" or "John, Glasgow") alongside their entry. 

7.1 Members of the public will be invited to vote for their favourite shortlisted photograph during the voting period. 
7.2 Glasgow Airport reserves the right to remove fraudulent, automated, manipulated or otherwise invalid votes. 

8.1 Upto five (5) winners will be selected at Glasgow Airport’ discretion based on the results of the public vote. 
8.2 If Glasgow Airport reasonably believes that voting has been manipulated or affected by fraudulent activity, it reserves the right to disregard affected votes and determine the winners itself. 
8.3 Glasgow Airport reserves the right to select alternative winners if it believes foul play, vote manipulation or any other unfair conduct has occurred. 
8.4 Glasgow Airport's decision on the winners is final. 
8.5 Winners will be contacted via the contact details submitted with their entry within 7 days of the close of voting. If a winner does not respond within 72 hours, Glasgow Airport reserves the right to select an alternative winner. 

9.1 Winners must be available to attend Glasgow Airport on 8 August 2026. 
9.2 Winners will be responsible for their own transport and associated costs to attend Glasgow Airport. 
9.3 The prize involves a photography excursion in a location that is accessible only on foot. 
9.4 Winners will be required to access a restricted area of Glasgow Airport as part of the prize experience. 
9.5 Access to the restricted area is subject to all applicable law and completion of any security, identity, background or other checks required by Glasgow Airport and/or relevant authorities.

10.1 Glasgow Airport reserves the right at its sole discretion to require winners to undergo any security vetting, identity verification or airport access checks it considers necessary. 
10.2 Glasgow Airport reserves the right at its sole discretion to refuse airside access to any winner who does not satisfy applicable security requirements or whose access is deemed unsuitable for safety, security or operational reasons. 
10.3 If a winner is unable to obtain the required clearance or is refused access, Glasgow Airport at its sole discretion may withdraw the prize, offer an alternative prize or select an alternative winner at its discretion.

11.1 Glasgow Airport reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who: 
11.1.1 breaches these Terms and Conditions and/or applicable law; 
11.1.2 submits false or misleading information; 
11.1.3 engages in vote manipulation, fraudulent activity or any conduct intended to unfairly influence the competition. 

12.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. 

13.1 Glasgow Airport reserves the right at its sole discretion to amend, suspend or cancel the competition and/or these Terms and Conditions at any time where reasonably necessary. 

14.1 Personal data provided will be processed only for the purposes of administering the competition, contacting entrants and winners, conducting any required security checks and promoting the competition in accordance with applicable data protection laws and Glasgow Airport's Privacy Notice: Privacy notice | Glasgow Airport. 

15.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland. 
15.2 Any disputes arising in connection with the competition shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
