Over the festive fortnight, more than 315,000 passengers will travel through Glasgow Airport, with the busiest day forecast for Friday 19 December when around 23,000 people are expected.

From family reunions to winter sun escapes, travellers will enjoy a wide choice of destinations across the UK and Europe, making Glasgow Airport the gateway to festive celebrations.

Top destinations include London, Dublin, Belfast and Dubai which is served by the iconic Emirates A380 aircraft.

Mark Beveridge, Managing Director at Glasgow Airport said: “The festive season is one of the most exciting times of the year for travel, and we’re thrilled to welcome so many passengers. Whether heading home or jetting off for a winter escape, our team is ready to make every journey smooth and enjoyable. We encourage everyone to arrive in good time and soak up the festive atmosphere at the airport.”

Passengers are reminded that under the airport’s new security process, liquids up to 100ml, large electrical items, and other belongings can remain inside hand luggage.
