easyJet and easyJet holidays announce new summer route from Glasgow to Antalya

easyJet and easyJet holidays announce new summer route from Glasgow to Antalya

easyJet has today announced a new route from Glasgow Airport to Antalya in Turkey, the airline’s first-ever direct connection between Scotland and the popular Turkish resort.

Also known as the Turkish Riviera, Antalya’s variety of historic culture, yacht-filled marinas and waterfront bars, as well as some of the best beaches in Turkey, has made this destination a firm favourite for those seeking a beach holiday.

The addition of the new route further expands easyJet’s connections between Scotland and Turkey, joining an existing service to Dalaman from Glasgow which launched last summer.

Flights to Antalya will operate twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays throughout the summer, with flights scheduled to take off from 1 July 2021.

All customers booking flights and holidays with easyJet benefit from some of the most flexible policies under its ‘Protection Promise’ which means that customers can book now for later this year with the confidence that if their plans change, so can their booking.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager said: We’re delighted to offer this new route from Glasgow to Antalya for the first time and further strengthen our network in Scotland, providing more opportunity for our customers to book a trip to look forward to this summer. We are proud to be the largest airline in Scotland and remain committed to offering customers great value fares and more choice when they fly with us.

“Our Protection Promise means that customers can book with confidence knowing that if they are unable to travel or their plans change so can their flights or holiday, and while the summer may be a little while off, we will be working around the clock to ensure we will be ready to ramp up our flights to reconnect friends and family or take them on long-awaited holiday to remember.”

Ronald Leitch, Operations Director at Glasgow Airport, said: “This decision from easyJet to introduce it’s first-ever route to Antalya is welcome news as it has always been a popular destination with Scottish holidaymakers.

“easyJet’s Protection Promise also gives the airline’s passengers additional assurance and a great deal of flexibility should their travel plans need to change.”
