The airport was in the running for two awards – Excellence in Customer Service and Best Performing Business (51 employees and over). Not only did it win both, Glasgow Airport was also named the Bank of Scotland Most Outstanding Business – the most prestigious accolade of the evening.
The judges commended the airport on its efforts in route development, its continued investment and its commitment to customer service. Over the course of the past two years, Glasgow has secured over 50 new routes and services including direct flights to major European cities such as Bordeaux, Milan, Prague and Bucharest.
The awards follow Glasgow's success at being named Scottish, UK and European airport of the year. It is also on course to record its busiest year on record during what is its 50th anniversary year.
Scott McKerracher, Area Director, Glasgow & West of Scotland at Bank of Scotland said: "Yet again, The Glasgow Business Awards have presented an excellent showcase of the health, vibrancy and diversity of Glasgow and the West of Scotland's business community.
