Citywing has announced an increased number of flights will be available between Glasgow and the Isle of Man for summer 2015.

Now offering 11 return flights a week from 1 May, Citywing are providing the Island’s community with a regular and frequent direct service to further strengthen the link between the two Celtic Communities.

Offering the only direct route and the guaranteed lowest fares for flights between Scotland and the island, prices start from just £49.95 including all taxes and charges.

The island has a wide range of attractions and activities to offer this summer; discover its history at the Manx Museum and House of Manannan, enjoy outdoor adventures at Ape Mann and Laser Mayhem, or try out favourite local dishes at a variety of fantastic restaurants. The island is also home to stunning scenery for you to explore, from beautiful beaches to breathtaking mountaintop views.

David Buck, Managing Director at Citywing, said: ‘We are delighted to be able to increase our services between Glasgow and the Isle of Man this summer and believe we have covered all the bases with the changes in our scheduling. Our business passengers can now take advantage of a day return whilst the leisure traveller can enjoy short breaks off the Island with weekend travel now being more available.’

Paul White, Business Development Manager at Glasgow Airport, said: ‘We were delighted when Citywing decided to reinstate this important business and tourism link in 2014.  It is very encouraging to see Citywing increasing the number of flights it operates, which just goes to show how successful the route has been with our customer base.  We wish Citywing continued success with this route, which offers the only direct route between Scotland and the Isle of Man, and look forward to working closely with the airline to ensure its continued success at Glasgow Airport.’
