Glasgow Airport is looking for passionate, energetic and committed people from all walks of life to help its customer services team during busy periods over the coming months.
The airport’s customer charter, which was launched in 2012, represented the first stage in a journey to bring all its partners – such as airlines and retailers – together to create a ‘one airport’ culture.
The ultimate aim of the charter is to provide an unrivalled customer experience for everyone travelling through the airport, and its own team of ambassadors will be working closely with the volunteers to ensure a helpful and friendly presence in the terminal during the summer of celebrations.
Glasgow Airport duty manager Amanda MacLellan, who is leading its Commonwealth Games preparations, said: “It is shaping up to be an exciting summer this year and everyone here is looking forward to playing our part in these high-profile events. Last year we launched our new brand ‘Proud to Serve Scotland’ – now we are looking for people who are proud to welcome the world to Scotland.
“It doesn’t matter if you are young, young at heart, crazy about sport or just enjoy meeting new people, and perhaps the occasional famous person. It will be an exciting time to be part of the team and a fantastic experience for people who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.”
