Imports and Customs

EU arrivals

If your journey began outside the European Union (EU) but you transferred through an EU country before arriving at Glasgow, please refer to Non-EU arrivals below.

If your journey was entirely within the EU, use the blue exit after reclaiming your baggage. Customs officers will monitor this area and may operate checks. If you have goods to declare, please go to the red Customs point.

Non-EU arrivals

After reclaiming your baggage, you will be required to clear Customs. Duty and tax-free allowances are indicated within the Customs hall.

  • Use the red Customs point to declare goods in excess of the allowance and commercial goods. Payment may be made by credit card.
  • Use the green channel if you have nothing to declare in excess of the allowance. Do not use the blue exit.
  • If in doubt, use the red point.
Channel Islands arrivals

Although you are not subject to passport control, you will need to pass through Customs after collecting your baggage.

Ireland arrivals

You should go through the blue Customs channel, unless you have goods to declare.
