Taking film and photography at Glasgow
Filming at busy international airports provides logistical and security challenges which means that whilst we will be accommodating, sometimes it will simply not be possible to facilitate non-essential filming and photography requests.

All filming and photography within the airport requires a permit. Generally, a request must be made at least two working days before the required date. Security will remove anyone filming and photographing without this permission.

  • News coverage (non-commercial) purposes:
Before coming to the airport you must contact our media centre.
  • Commercial filming/photography
Requests will be charged a service fee unless they are related to a current news issue or involve a BAA business partner. The fee schedule takes into account the number of people involved in the shoot and the time required on BAA property. Permission can only be granted if the applicant can demonstrate that they have at least £5 million in public liability insurance.

All permits issued are always location-and time-specific. Applicants wishing to film or photograph airline property or staff must first obtain airline permission. Requests to go airside require an escort and a temporary pass.

For further information please contact our media centre.
