Our management

Amanda McMillan, Managing Director, Glasgow Airport

Glasgow Airport is proud to serve as the gateway to Scotland’s largest city; a beautiful, lively, confident, cultured city. Truly one of Europe’s great cities.

With flights to more than 90 destinations worldwide, Scotland’s busiest international airport welcomes passengers from across the globe, with direct flights to Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, Africa, the Gulf and Asia. More than half of our passengers fly to and from international routes.

With more than three million visitors to the area in 2006, Glasgow Airport plays an important role in the region’s tourist industry. In a tough market, we’re working hard to secure the new airlinks that will bring more visitors to the region.

And as the city gets ready to host the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Glasgow’s airport is also looking to the future, with a massive investment programme underway.

Over the next decade, BAA Glasgow will invest £200 million at Glasgow Airport, with one aim: to deliver the highest standards for our passengers, and create an enjoyable airport experience for the many millions of people who use Glasgow Airport every year.

BAA’s long term plans for the sustainable and responsible development of Glasgow Airport will provide new business and tourism opportunities for Glasgow and Renfrewshire, and bring valuable new jobs to the area.

As the custodians of Glasgow Airport, we’re committed to playing our part in the continuing prosperity of our city and region.
