With the tranquillity and natural beauty of the Levant, the fascinating medieval ports and castles of Kyrenia and Famagusta and the best Mediterranean climate, there is something for everyone to enjoy on a holiday to North Cyprus. Whether a family vacation or a getaway break for two, the rare blend of delights on offer in Northern Cyprus is guaranteed to leave you with fond memories of your stay.

Kyrenia

Holidays in Kyrenia mean more than just the harbour and castle. Strolling through the streets of the old town, you will never be far away from the ruins of the Lusignan walls and towers which originally formed a protective curtain around the town. Kyrenia holidays offer plenty for the keen shopper, with a vast array of outlets providing everything from the latest designer fashions to Cypriot antiques - not to mention a truly remarkable choice of restaurants. Kyrenia is an ideal base to explore Northern Cyprus, and it has some of the island's best accommodation. Yet the serene beauty of the countryside is never far away...

Famagusta

The town is home to the fabulous Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque, as well as countless other historical treasures. Some of Northern Cyprus' best, and quietest, beaches are close by and a stay here is ideal as a base from which to explore the wild and unspoiled beauty of the Karpas Peninsula - a place where you are more likely to come across a few wild donkeys than other holidaymakers! It is possible to visit Famagusta and the Karpas Peninsula in a day from the Kyrenia region, but better to spend more time here, or combine the two areas with a 'Tale of Two Cities' tour.

As the UK's leading North Cyprus Tour Operator, Cyprus Premier has introduced thousands of travellers to the delights of Northern Cyprus over the last 20 years.

Warsaw

  • Currency : Polish Zloty (PLN)
  • Flight time : Approx 2hr 30mins
  • Time difference : GMT +1
  • Summer avg temp : 18°C

Warsaw is Poland’s capital and largest city. The city of Warsaw is truly an unforgettable destination for tourists. Skyscrapers shoot upwards as Warsaw’s economic status rises and the city continues to gather foreign investors. With a fine location, Warsaw is blessed with the Vistula River flowing through the city.

The Old Town is easily the most historic location in the city and the most popular of Warsaw’s tourist attractions. If you are only in Warsaw for a short trip, then the Old Town is a must see location. A visit to the Old Town is worthwhile just to take in the Medieval architecture and the character of the Old Town Market Place with it’s abundance of cafés, restaurants and bars. At times, it is difficult to believe that the whole area is in fact a near-total reconstruction as the original was destroyed during the second world war. A mermaid statue stands in the very centre of Old Town Square, surrounded by a fountain. According to legend, a mermaid swimming in from the sea stopped on the riverbank near the Old Town to rest. She found the place so admirable that she decided to stay.

In Warsaw you can choose from over 20 shopping malls, most of which are also places of entertainment. Three of the biggest malls - Arkadia, Galeria Mokotów and Złote Tarasy - are located near the centre. The Palace of Culture and Science is the highest building in Poland and was built between 1952 and 1955. The big attraction for tourists and residents is the ‘trzydziestka’, a large terrace on the 30th floor of the Palace (at a height of 114 m), where you can admire the gorgeous panorama of Warsaw. On New Year’s Eve, 2000, the Palace of Culture and Science unveiled the second-largest clock in Europe and it is the highest clock tower in the world.

Since May 2011 Warsaw has had a new tourist attraction - multimedia fountains at the foot of the castle. They are located in an enchanting place, near the Old Town and the Vistula. Up to 30 thousand litres of water a minute stream out of 367 nozzles. The streams are lit with colourful light from nearly 300 LED reflectors. In time intervals, impressive laser animations appear on the mist from nebulised water. In front of spectators' eyes, the Mermaid climbs down the monument, swims under the Świętokrzyski Bridge and hits the town in a Warszawa car. The shows are accompanied by music, both classical and pop. A very impressive must see!

Croatia is where picturesque harbours, awe inspiring sights, quaint cobbled streets and amazingly clear azure seas all join forces to create the picture perfect holiday destination for families and couples alike.

Pula, the largest resort in the region boasts lots to do away from the beach from superb sights such as the 22,000 seat Roman amphitheatre and 17th century Venetian fortress combining with great shopping and of course that typical Mediterranean cafe culture.

Croatia

Porec is an attractive resort in its own right with an impressive Basilica encircled by narrow cobbled streets winding their way around the Venetian homes. Of course we shouldn't forget the 15 Blue Flag beaches and wide choice of nightlife to suit all tastes too.

However, Rovinj probably takes the prize in terms of beauty, the unique old town set on a peninsula is dominated by the imposing Venetian bell tower of St Euphemia Cathedral. The waters around the resort are perfect for paddling and with many islands located off shore exploring is a must.

A day trip to the Italian city of Venice is also possible from this area of Croatia.

Gdansk

  • Currency : Polish Zloty (PLN)
  • Flight time : Approx 2hr 10mins
  • Time difference : GMT +1
  • Summer avg temp : 17°C

Gdańsk, the capital of the Pomorskie Region, stands testament today to what a little spit and polish can accomplish. Like many Polish towns, Gdansk lay in ruins after WWII but now offers numerous sights for any interested traveller. Its beauty is matched by its many excellent restaurants, pubs, and night clubs. In addition, learn a bit more at the many museums, soak up some visuals in the galleries or relax with some music.

Gdynia is a young, but quickly expanding port situated right by the seashore, offering many tourist attractions as well as splendid shopping opportunities and a lot of entertainment. The city was founded as a Polish harbour in 1926. Because of its unusual location, you will easily catch great views of the sea and beautiful scenery, and also find long promenades, beautiful waterfronts, marinas and yacht clubs. Gdynia is the only city in Poland and one of the few in Europe to pride itself on such long and accessible seashore.

Sopot, a small seaside city and a spa resort, is a tourist destination which together with the neighbouring Gdańsk and Gdynia forms the Tri-City conurbation with a population of over one million. Along the coast the town is flanked by wooded moraine hills, while the Bay of Gdańsk is sheltered from the open sea by the Hel Peninsula, thanks to which the sea off the beaches of Sopot is warmer than at other locations on the Baltic coast. The town’s unique character stems from the Art Nouveau townhouses and villas, surrounded by trees, historic parks and beautifully cultivated gardens. All of this coupled with the convenient access by many modes of transport, make Sopot a tourist destination visited each year by over two million tourists and holidaymakers.
