Caledonia drummers with Ryanair plane

Ryanair today (20 Jan) announced a new (W15) route from Glasgow Airport to Berlin, and a 4th daily Glasgow – London Stansted service as part of its expanded winter 2015 schedule.

Ryanair will continue to connect Glasgow with Europe’s major centres of business, including Dublin and London, offering business customers the largest range of destinations at the lowest fares, with the most flights, improved schedules and best service.

Customers can choose from nine routes from Glasgow this summer while enjoying allocated seating, a free second carry-on bag, reduced fees, a new website, a brand new app with mobile boarding passes, Family Extra and Business Plus.

2015 marks Ryanair’s 30th birthday. In 30 years, Ryanair has grown to become Europe’s biggest airline, carrying 100m people annually, between 30 countries, and saving European customers over €11bn every year.

To celebrate the launch of Ryanair’s 30th birthday celebrations, the airline is releasing 100,000 seats for sale across its European network, at prices from £19.99 for travel in February, March and April. These low fare seats are available for booking until midnight Thursday (22 Jan).

In Glasgow, Ryanair’s Michael O’Leary said:

“Ryanair is pleased to announce a new route from Glasgow to Berlin as well as increased frequency on our Glasgow-London Stansted service from 3 to 4 x daily for winter 2015, in response to the phenomenal demand from Scottish customers, visitors and business travellers.

"2014 was a record year for Ryanair as we rolled out our “Always Getting Better” customer experience improvement programme and we will continue to deliver further enhancements into 2015 and beyond. UK customers already choose Ryanair for our low fares and our industry leading customer service.

"To celebrate our new Berlin route, and our 30th birthday, we are releasing 100,000 seats on sale from £19.99 for travel in February, March and April, which are available for booking until midnight Thursday (22 Jan).
