AbilityNet and E-isotis launch European awards for Accessible ICT in 2008
The ACCESS-IT ceremony is a unique event, as it is the first of its kind to be hosted in the UK. ACCESS-IT is a new and exciting development for 2008 and beyond. The event takes place on July 18th at Microsoft Victoria in London, supported by Microsoft and the EC funded eAbilities project.

AbilityNet launches the AT Wiki – The Global Encyclopedia of Assistive Technologies
The AT Wiki is a new initiative from AbilityNet – combining information on a full range of accessible solutions for technology with opinions and comments from users, developers and vendors. This public beta is available at http://abilitynet.wetpaint.com.

City University, London - MSc in Human Centred Systems
AbilityNet are working with City University, London to help deliver their MSc course in Human Centred Systems. Co-located with AbilityNet, the course will expose students to AbilityNet's techniques, technologies and case studies whilst equipping them with techniques and theories with which to design, implement and evaluate interactive computing systems for the widest range of users.

Sustaining Switched On Communities
AbilityNet are working with Community Partners in the nine English regions and Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland. The Community Partners will be linking with Voluntary and Community Organisations in each of the above regions to support accessibility in the Community. Each organisation that is linked to a Community Partner and becomes part of the project receive a small access kit and training. If you are a Voluntary and Community organisation and interested in finding out more detail about this project we will highlight your interest to the relevant Community Partner for your region.
