Wizz Air's low fares arrive in Glasgow

Wizz Air, the largest low-cost, low-fare airline in Central and Eastern Europe, today announced the move of its two Scottish routes to Gdansk and Warsaw from Prestwick to Glasgow Airport from 1st March.
The carrier, which began operating its low-fare services between Scotland and Poland in 2006, will now offer twice-weekly flights to the Polish capital and the Baltic Sea from the more centrally located airport in a bid to provide more convenience to existing customers and to attract new passengers from a larger catchment area.
Wizz Air commenced its pan-European low-cost operations in 2004 and has since grown to offer over 250 low-fare routes across 30 countries connecting 84 destinations. In the UK, Wizz Air offers 37 routes at very low fares.The company’s aim is to make flying on the West-East axis more affordable, as well as to provide a new travel experience to all travelers in Europe.
Wizz Air deploys the latest technology to ensure that the “Wizz Air experience” is outstanding in terms of service and value for money. The growing number of business travellers seeking low fares while avoiding “cattle class” products has prompted the airline to develop tailored business and comfort products. The move to Glasgow Airport is seen as a further step to accommodate quality and price conscious consumers.
