Jet2.com confirms return of Big Apple flight from Glasgow in 2013
21 February 2013
Jet2.com has announced its popular Christmas shopping flight to New York will operate again this year from Glasgow Airport.
Scots can take advantage of return flights from £439 and three night package breaks through Jet2holidays from £699 per person.
The flight leaves Glasgow on 14th November and returns on 17th November, perfectly timed to treat a loved one to a pre-Christmas getaway in one of the world’s most romantic cities.
Steve Heapy, Chief Executive at Jet2.com said: “We are thrilled to offer our local customers the chance to jet off to New York again this year.
"Our great value flights and package breaks are always extremely popular, so much so that we have put New York on sale even earlier this year.
"This way our customers have more time to plan and budget for their trip so they don’t miss out on the glamour and buzz of this thriving city with plenty of dollars left to spend on all the must-see and do activities New York has to offer on the run up to Christmas.
"Those wanting to book a Jet2holidays package break can also book for a deposit of just £60 per person.”
Amanda McMillan, managing director of Glasgow Airport, said: “This will be the third year in a row Jet2.com has operated a shopping trip to New York which has always proved extremely popular with passengers.
"It is yet another example of the airline responding to passenger demand and follows its recent decision to expand operations at Glasgow Airport with the addition of a fourth based aircraft.”
