Glasgow-Dublin increases to five flights per day

Aer Arann has announced its summer 2012 Aer Lingus Regional flight schedule which will see its Glasgow-Dublin services increase in frequency from 25th March.

Launched just two years ago on 28th March 2010, the Aer Lingus Regional Glasgow-Dublin service which is operated by Aer Arann under a franchise agreement with Aer Lingus has proven to be one of the airline's most successful routes and is very popular with both business and leisure passengers.

Due to increased demand Aer Lingus Regional, operated by Aer Arann is offering business and leisure passengers even greater choice and flexibility with more convenient schedules for summer 2012 as well as continued connections to Aer Lingus trans-Atlantic connections including New York, Boston, Chicago and Orlando.

From 25th March the Aer Lingus Regional Glasgow-Cork service which operates five times per week will include a Wednesday flight, replacing the Tuesday operation.

Commenting on the 2012 summer schedule, Aer Arann's Director of Corporate Affairs Andrew Kelly today said, "We are delighted to increase the frequency of our popular Glasgow-Dublin service and introduce more convenient schedules on our Glasgow-Cork flights all the while offering our customers even better regional connectivity, United States connections and greater value this summer", he continued.

"With our Aer Lingus Regional services which are operated under a franchise agreement with Aer Lingus, Aer Arann remains committed to regional connectivity and to promoting tourism by providing the most direct and easy links between Scotland and Ireland."

Amanda McMillan, managing director of Glasgow Airport, said: "Since its arrival in 2010, Aer Lingus Regional has gone from strength-to-strength and its routes to Cork and Dublin have proved extremely popular with both business and leisure customers. Its decision to increase flights is tremendous news for the airport as it will provide our customers with greater choice and flexibility."
