Glasgow Airport lands Tunisian tour operator

22 January 2013

Glasgow Airport is to further strengthen its 2013 summer schedule with the addition of Just Sunshine to its long list of airlines and tour operators.

The UK-based company will operate direct flights to Tunisia for three weeks during the coming summer season with a view to introducing a full summer service in 2014.

The inaugural flight will take-off on Saturday 29 June with the second and third services jetting off to the sun on the 6 and 13 July respectively. It is the first time Just Sunshine will have operated from Glasgow and it will offer holidaymakers wishing to experience the delights of the North African country the opportunity to stay in the resorts of Port el Kantaoui and Hammamet, both of which lie on Tunisia’s Mediterranean coast.

Francois Bourienne, commercial director of Glasgow Airport, said: “Just Sunshine is a welcome addition to our busy summer schedule. Tunisia has grown in popularity with holidaymakers and the tour operator’s arrival is great news for Glasgow Airport as it will provide our customers with even greater choice.”

Tony Blakey, national sales manager at Just Sunshine, added: “We have been working closely with the local travel trade over the course of the past 18 months and it is clear there is demand for charter services to Tunisia from Glasgow. We’re looking forward to arriving at Glasgow Airport in June and it is our intention to expand our service in 2014. We have been operating holidays to Tunisia for over seven years and have a strong track record in providing a range of tailored packages, so we’re confident the service will prove successful.”

Just Sunshine holidays are currently on sale via independent travel agents.
