Glasgow Airport brings the world closer this summer
15 February 2012
Glasgow Airport has launched its 2012 summer flight guide, which includes details of 15 new routes and destinations.
The useful guide is a one-stop-shop for the busy traveller, providing information on flights, getting to and from the airport and once there, the wide range of retail and leisure facilities.
A total of 15 new and exciting routes have been added to this year’s summer timetable, including direct flights to the beautiful cities of Rome and Barcelona, courtesy of low fares airline Jet2.com and a new route to the romantic city of Venice available from both Thomas Cook and Barrhead Travel.
The guide also includes tour operator, France Travel Services, which lands at the airport in May, offering flights to the cultural French cities of Lyon, Nantes and Paris.
Emirates, easyJet, Thomson, Jet2.com, Virgin and Thomas Cook have all added extra capacity to a number of popular destinations such as, Dubai, Florida, Cape Verde, Tenerife, Malaga and Dalaman, Turkey.
Francois Bourienne, commercial director at Glasgow Airport, said: “Despite operating in difficult times our airline partners really have pulled out all the stops this summer and are offering their customers a fantastic range of flights and holiday packages.
“With a host of new routes and increased capacity on popular destinations it’s never been a better time to fly from Glasgow. We hope our passengers make full use of our summer guide, which is designed with their needs in mind and provides a useful source of information as they travel through the airport.”
Over the years, Glasgow Airport has been working hard to expand its retail offering and has added a number of top name brands such as Hugo Boss, Ted Baker, French Connection, Diesel, Radley and Rituals to its already extensive retail portfolio, which includes Swarovski, World Duty Free, The Sunglass Hut and Dorothy Perkins.
The new summer guide also includes up-to-date flight information, advice on how to get to the airport, and useful information on where to park, shop and relax. To download a copy of the guide visit http://www.glasgowairport.com/flight-information/flight-timetables
