Flybe ups frequency on Glasgow to Birmingham shuttle
08 March 2013
Flybe has announced it will increase the frequency of its popular midweek shuttle flights between Glasgow and Birmingham.
The new schedule will take effect in September and deliver a greater choice of flights for passengers with up to eight flights a day between Scotland's largest city and England's second largest.
Flybe's recent announcement that it will operate an additional daily flight during the week between Glasgow and East Midlands Airport means it will soon be offering up to 12 flights a day to the Midlands.
Amanda McMillan, managing director of Glasgow Airport, said: "By enhancing their schedule, Flybe are clearly responding to passenger demand, and in particular the needs of business passengers in both regions.
"It is always encouraging when an airline makes decisions which take account of market demand and in this case it is clear the volume of people travelling between Glasgow and the Midlands is growing."
The additional rotation will operate Monday to Friday, departing Birmingham at 14:05 and arriving in Glasgow at 15:20. The return flight leaves Glasgow at 16:00 and arrives in Birmingham at 17:20.
Seats are available for booking now at www.flybe.com with one way fares from £29.99 including taxes and charges.
