Airport improvements

You may have noticed some changes to the way in which passengers and motorists access Glasgow Airport. We’re investing £2 million to make access easier and safer, with a new purpose built passenger drop-off zone located near the terminal.

The new facility is a short walk from international arrivals and check-in, and replaces the temporary drop-off and pick-up zone in the multi-storey car park, which was introduced after the 2007 terrorist attack.

A canopy links the drop-off zone with the main terminal and flight information screens will provide updates on all departing and arriving flights. Help points will be available for any passenger in need of assistance.

New arrangements are also being introduced for passenger pick-up and special provision has been made for passengers with reduced mobility.

Improved signage and landscaping will make it easier for passengers and motorists to find their way around the airport, and a new entrance will be created for the main multi-storey car park, improving access from the M8.

The investment improves access and eases congestion at Glasgow Airport, while also providing an attractive facility for our passengers.
